Atlantic Hockey Group Appoints Luke Green as Director of HRM Operations, Strengthening Presence in Nova Scotia

Halifax, N.S. – February 24th, 2026

Atlantic Hockey Group is proud to announce the appointment of Luke Green as Director of HRM Operations, reinforcing the organization’s continued growth and commitment to high-performance hockey development throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.

A former Atlantic Hockey Group alumnus, Green previously participated in AHG spring programming with the Nova Scotia Raiders and Selects. His return to the organization represents a full-circle moment and reflects AHG’s ongoing investment in developing leaders from within its own hockey community.

Green brings an impressive playing and coaching résumé to the role. He was selected first overall in the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Saint John Sea Dogs and later drafted in the third round (79th overall) by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. His professional career has included time in the NHL system, AHL, and top European leagues in Sweden, Slovakia, Germany, Finland, and most recently in Austria playing for FTC Telekom.

Off the ice, Green has built a strong reputation as a development leader. Since 2021, he has served as Head Coach and Director of the Luke Green Hockey School, where he has designed high-level curriculum, led elite tryout prep camps, and managed comprehensive player development programming. He has also been a longtime development coach with Bedford Minor Hockey Association, working extensively with players across multiple age groups.

“Luke’s addition is a major step forward for our operations in Nova Scotia,” said Charlie Bourgeois, President of Atlantic Hockey Group. “As a former AHG player who has gone on to succeed at the highest levels of the game, he brings credibility, energy, and a deep understanding of player development that aligns perfectly with our mission.”

In addition to his hockey accomplishments, Green holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and earning Dean’s List honours — reflecting the professionalism and discipline he brings to the organization.

In his new role, Green will oversee Atlantic Hockey Group programming and growth initiatives throughout the Halifax region, working closely with minor hockey partners, players, and families to continue elevating the development pathway in Nova Scotia.

“I’m extremely proud to return to Atlantic Hockey Group in this new role,” said Green. “AHG played an important part in my early development, and I’m excited to help create outstanding experiences and opportunities for the next generation of players in HRM.”

Green’s appointment further strengthens Atlantic Hockey Group’s leadership team as the organization continues to expand its impact across Atlantic Canada.
