Atlantic Hockey Group & Slemon Park Plex Inc. Sign Long-Term agreement with Slemon Park Corporation to Expand Year-Round Hockey Development at the PLEX
Summerside, PEI – September 1, 2025 — Atlantic Hockey Group (AHG) and Slemon Park Plex Inc. are pleased to announce a long-term lease agreement with Slemon Park Corporation to operate year-round on- and off-ice training programs at the PLEX in Summerside.
Founded in 1989, AHG is a leader in hockey development across Atlantic Canada, offering programs for male and female players of all ages and skill levels. Programs at the PLEX will be led by AHG Director of PEI Hockey Operations Morgan McNeil, one of PEI’s most respected on- and off-ice hockey instructor.
The PLEX is also home to Brave Athletic Performance, a 2,000 sq. ft. off-ice training facility. As part of this new agreement, Atlantic Hockey Group and Slemon Park Plex Inc. will invest in future upgrades to the facility, ensuring athletes continue to benefit from top-level training resources.
The PLEX will remain the home of the popular Bauer Hockey Academy (October–March) and will continue to support Summerside Minor Hockey, one of its long-standing user groups.
“Our group is very excited for this opportunity, which will allow us to expand our programs and continue offering first-class hockey development to the PEI hockey community. We recognize the important role the PLEX plays locally,” said Charlie Bourgeois, President of AHG. “We would like to thank Slemon Park Corporation for their support in establishing a long-term lease agreement for this development.”
Jeff Leard, President of Slemon Park Plex Inc., added: “Partnering with AHG will bring tremendous benefits, as they are recognized leaders in delivering high-level hockey programs. Our goal is to maximize the use of the facility for the benefit of the community.”
