Gaspésie Spring Hockey
Founded in 2011, male & female hockey players of all ages and skill levels have had the opportunity to continue their hockey development by taking part in Atlantic Hockey Group spring hockey programs.
The objective is to offer a local program for players and families in the Chandler/Gaspésie region lead by the many high-level coaches we have in the area.
The Gaspésie Cougars have had a lot of success playing in leagues with the Atlantic Hockey Group, which features some of the best players in Atlantic Canada.

Nova Scotia Prospects Series
2027 NOVA SCOTIA PROSPECTS SERIES
About the Prospects Series
The basic objective of the Prospect Series is to provide the opportunity for players, male and female, to improve their hockey skills in a fun and positive environment. Our objective will be accomplished by bringing together a group of committed players under the direction of qualified coaches. The program has been designed to find the proper balance of on-ice training as well as competitive games. The 2027 Prospects Series will feature two tiers of play to ensure their development at the proper level.
TIER 1
The 2027 Prospect Series Tier 1 program will feature teams at the U11 (2017-2016), U13 (2015-2014), and U15 (2013-2012) levels. The Tier 1 program has been established to provide the opportunity for players to continue their development in a high level program with the goal of reaching the AAA level of play.
TIER 2
The 2027 Prospect Series Tier 2 program will feature teams at the U9 (2019-2018), U11 (2017-2016), U13 (2015-2014), and U15 (2013-2012) levels. The Tier 2 program has been established to provide the opportunity for players to continue their development in a well structured program with the goal of reaching for a higher level of play.
Format
Tier 1: Players competing at the competitive levels will be eligible to participate in our 2027 Prospect Series Tier 1 program. The teams will be selected by invitation from our coaching staffs.
Tier 2: Players competing at the recreational as well as a limited number of competitive A and B levels will be eligible to participate. The teams will be selected by invitation from our coaching staffs.
All team rosters will comprise of 2 goaltenders, 6 defencemen and 9 forwards. The teams will be selected by invitation from the individual coaching staffs.
The 2027 program will consist of a 12 game schedule (including playoffs). Games will take place on weekends where our teams will play two games in one day. The games will feature two 12 and one fifteen minutes periods. The schedule will be geared to reduce travel cost by avoiding any overnight stays.
The Prospect Series will feature a minimum of 8 hours on-ice training designed with the objective of improving the players fundamental skills as well as developing team concepts. Individual teams will also have the option of increasing the number of on-ice training sessions by acquiring additional ice times from the Atlantic Hockey Group.
NOTE: Goaltenders will take part in our exclusive goaltending clinics featuring highly qualified instructors from the Atlantic Goaltending Academy.
The Atlantic Cup will feature Prospect Series teams from the provinces of NS, NB, PEI and NL. The tournament will take place in Halifax in late May or early June. Note: The Tournament is an optional event, therefore not included in the registration fee.

NS Raiders (Elite Series)
Nova Scotia Raiders (ELITE SERIES)
About the Nova Scotia Raiders
The basic objective of the Elite Hockey Program is to provide the opportunity for advanced hockey players, male and female, to progress to the next level of play. This is accomplished by bringing together a group of advanced players under the direction of highly qualified coaches.
The Nova Scotia Raiders are our team which comprises the top players from across Nova Scotia. The Raiders program will feature a minimum of 15 hours of on-ice training from across the province. Our team will have a weekend training camp featuring led by Nova Scotia director, and former NHL'er Jon Sim.
The Raiders will participate in high level tournaments in and outside of Atlantic Canada. Well-known Raiders alumni include Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon.
Program Director
Jon Sim
Born and raised in Pictou County, where he played all his minor hockey, Jon enjoyed a spectacular junior career where he spent 4 seasons with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. He totaled 311 points including two back to back 56 goal seasons and is still to this day the all-time franchise points and goals leader. Drafted by the Dallas Stars in 1996, Jon captured a Stanley Cup in 1998/1999. Jon went on to play 469 games in the NHL. Jon's resume includes 15 years of professional hockey, 902 games played, 64 playoff games as well as 3 league championships.
The 2027 Program
The 2027 program will feature teams from the U9 to the U15 levels. The program is stable, comprehensive, and innovative, thereby ensuring that there will always be a yearly path of progression for players to play for more senior teams.
The Elite Hockey program will feature training that focuses on individual skills as well as team systems. Individual teams will have the option to practice in facilities across the province which will be determined by the make up of the team. Goaltenders will take part in our exclusive clinics provided by the Atlantic Goaltending Academy.
