Jaro was born in the Czech Republic, and grew up playing hockey with many of his fellow Czech NHLers. Jaro’s playing career included winning a silver medal with the Czech Junior Team at the 1985 World Junior Championships. He went on to play NHL, AHL and ten seasons with top European teams, in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. After retiring from playing he became Assistant Coach with the Dalhousie University Men’s hockey team for seven seasons. In addition to Perfect Edge Jaro is the owner of Future Pros Hockey School and also runs numerous private power skating and hockey skills clinics throughout HRM. Jaro also coached with Chebucto Minor Hockey for 8 seasons and holds Advance Level 1 coaching certification
